Diana Tobien began her musical education at the age of 6 years. In her home town she gained experience as a singer and/or pianist in various bands as well as a-cappella groups since her youth. Later she studied jazz music in Leipzig and in the Netherlands, where she received lessons from jazz greats such as Sheila Jordan, Pascal von Wroblewsky and Dena de Rose. Performances followed in Holland, New York, Ibiza and Madrid, among others. Since the summer of 2008, she has been living mainly in Berlin and also writes and composes herself.
In the last 5 years she became interested in Ethnic Music (Arabian, Indian, African etc) and Flamenco Jazz Fusion. In this styles she often colaborates as a pianist, singer & percussionist with the spanish groups Black Market and Jazzhondo.
